The annual FC25 Community Cup has shattered participation records, with 247 amateur teams registering for this year's competition - a 156% increase from last year.

Community Growth

Tournament organizer Marcus Johnson attributes the growth to increased streaming visibility and the success of former community players who've gone pro.

"People see that there's a legitimate path from amateur to professional play," Johnson explains. "That's incredibly motivating for the grassroots community."

Prize Structure

While smaller than professional tournaments, the Community Cup offers $5,000 in total prizes plus opportunities for standout players to trial with professional teams.

Three players from last year's competition went on to sign with professional teams, including rising star James Mitchell who now plays for Thunder FC.

Schedule

The tournament runs over four weekends starting March 1st, with all matches streamed on the official FC25 Community Twitch channel.
