DECK — Daily EAFC Club Knockout — is SAFA’s new free club competition. Register your club, check in, play a knockout and earn points toward the Monthly Masters. No need to search for friendlies every day anymore. Open SAFA, enter a DECK and get competitive club football, one night at a time.
Instead of messaging around and trying to find a club to play, simply register for a SAFA DECK. If the night runs, SAFA handles the competition structure — you check in, get your opponent and play.
01What Is DECK?

DECK is SAFA’s open competitive layer. It gives clubs something meaningful to play outside the Pro League and gives new clubs a simple way to start competing inside SAFA.
Each DECK is its own tournament, but the results do not disappear when the night ends. Your club earns Monthly Points, climbs the DECK standings and works toward a place in the SAFA Monthly Masters.

02How Does a DECK Night Work?
Register · Check in · Play · Submit the result
Managers submit the result on the SAFA site with a screenshot of the final score. Once the result is confirmed, the winner moves forward and the next fixture can become MATCH READY.
Most weeknights: Knockout + Plate
Lose your first match actually played and you can drop into the Plate, giving clubs another game instead of ending the night immediately. Plate matches are for extra competition and do not award Monthly Points.
Super Sunday: Groups + Knockout
Sunday can use a group stage before the knockout. Clubs get multiple group matches, with the best teams progressing into the main bracket.
03Every DECK Builds Your Month
Your strongest nights matter most
DECK uses a simple points system based on how far your club genuinely progresses. Byes and walkovers can move a club through the bracket, but they do not create performance points by themselves.
You can play more than 12 DECKs in a cycle. Once you have 12 counted results, a better result can replace one of your weaker scores.
Your club currently has a 1-point result among its Best 12. You earn 3 points tonight. The 1-point result drops out, the 3 takes its place and your Monthly Total rises by 2 points.
The GoalYou do not need to play every night. You do need enough strong results to stay above the line.

Checking in is your club’s commitment
Plans change. That is why simply registering for a DECK does not carry a penalty if you later fail to check in. But once your club checks in, SAFA and your opponents are relying on you to play.
